The winners will be announced this Sunday, October 14th at 6 PM, here, by email and on Facebook.com/pportraitstudio.
Calendar sales begin Saturday, November 3rd until sold out at the Ventura County Animal Shelter.
Or, if you participated in the Paws for a Cause Pet Portrait Event last Saturday, you can get your claendar when you pick up your portrait.

AN INCREDIBLE ACT OF KINDNESS...It was the first day of the Paws for a Cause Pet Portrait Event. I was in the studio with my camera in my hands and loving every minute of it. I was focused on my subject when the door opened and in walked, with (a real) walker and (blow-up) oxygen masks with tanks, Scoop and Rudy, A.K.A. Jeanette Paige (90 this month) and her little brother Stan Bensen (7?). I glanced over my shoulder, but I still didn't quite get it. I kept photographing.
As it turned out, it was actually Scoop and Rudy, who came to participate in the fundraiser, but (I believe) they didn't have a pet to bring. Yes! The very much wiser older sister, Jeanette, brought her younger brother, fully clad as Scoop and Rudolf, walker and all, because of their compassion for animals and generosity.
Thank you, Jeanette and younger brother Stan, for your generous spirit and the lesson for all mof us to learn. God Bless!
